               Medicines

A major percentage of our monetary costs are for medicines that may be used on a daily basis under the direction of our veterinarian and by ourselves during our TNR actions.  The less we have to buy, the more money we have to spend on such things as spaying and neutering of so called "Street Cats" when no TNR actions are occurring.  TNR happens year round as we can accomplish them.

Maybe you can help us get some of the following needed medicines:

  • Duoprim, Essex Tierarznei

  • Synulox 50 mg, Smith, Kline, Beecham

  • Drontal for Cats, Bayer

  • Drontal for Dogs, Bayer

  • Droncit (Praziquantel) Spot on, Bayer

  • Droncit (Praziquantel) for Injection Spritzen, Bayer

  • Panacur for Dogs

  • Panacur for Cats

  • Nutri-Cal Paste, Albrecht

  • KMR Milchaustauschfutter for Cats - Pulver, Albrecht

  • Aureomicin, Pfizer

  • Terramycin, Pfizer

  • Terracortil, Pfizer

  • Stronghold for Kittens, Pfizer

  • Stronghold for Cats, Pfizer

  • Stronghold for Dogs, Pfizer

  • Frontline Spot on for Cats, Merial

  • Frontline Spot on for Dogs, Merial

  • Advantage for Kittens, Bayer

  • Advantage for Cats, Bayer

Perhaps you could ask your Veterinarian or, while visiting the Island, you might drop into the veterinary centers "Orone" in Valle Gran Rey or "Amalahuyge" in San Sebastian and ask directly what medications the Pro Animal Gomera folks could use.

Out of date medicines can and will Not be used.  We need to be able to trust the medicines that we use since, in most cases, we will only have one chance. "Street Cats" are not easy to handle and, in case the medication does not work, the illness can get worse or even deadly.
