Auf / On La Gomera
|

The Original Story...
Fox was picked up at the harbour of Valle Gran Rey by a representative of
Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) after it had been well established that he was a
strange dog in the area and had been fed by locals for days.
Fox is a three to four year old mixed male and looks something like a “Papillon”.
He is a small dog, weighing in at seven kg. He is presently in foster
care and the foster mama has stated that he does not seem to have any
problems with strange cats or dogs. He has had some training and loves
human contact.
He will eventually be
brought to Germany where we hope to find him a new, loving home. Needless
to say, before he travels, he will have undergone a thorough medical exam,
received his required immunizations, been micro-chipped and have an EU Pet
Passport.
This might just be the one you have been looking for!

From the New Owner...
Hello Mrs
Schmidling,
So, Foxi (Fox) is now with us, after a horrible, hot trip ride and
naturally, immediately marked everything that he could mark. Oh well,
today is finished. The little man is pretty tired, but he ate well. He
chases after our cats, but only from curiosity, nothing bad. They have
placed themselves at a safe distance and are watching.
One problem we were able to solve right away…our spiral stairs that lead
up to the living room. He was visited this morning by “Babus” friend and
look, he was overcome by curiosity and now he goes up and down with no
fear.
He is really a quiet fellow and and wants to be very close to us which
makes us very happy. This morning he saw himself in the closet mirror in
the bedroom and was amazed. He soon found out that it was himself and
proceeded to lick the mirror.
Yesterday, he became afraid of our fan that we have going in our bedroom
at night because of the heat. Foxi barked and growled so long until we
had no other recourse than to turn this unknown thing off. After that,
everything was ok.
So, that is what’s happening with our little man.

Von der neuen
Besitzerin...
Hallo Frau Schmidling,
abzustellen. Danach war alles ok.
So, das
wars erst einmal von unserem kleinen Mann.

Foxi in
sein
neue Zuhause / in his new home
|
And again...
Hello Mrs. Schmidling,
Enclosed are some pictures of "Foxi".
These were shot yesterday by an acquaintance.
Foxi has settled in very well - is clean - and
has no more problems with cats.
We take him one time a week to training as the
fear - or whatever it is is deep in him, but only on the line.
We are practicing "Heel" - he is not ready for
more...We have time. When Foxi runs free in the dog practice run, he
has no problems even with other male dogs.
Today (Saturday) we have "Play Hour". That
means that he can run free (no line) for one hour in the dog practice
run and play with other dogs. He is then really to wear himself out.
One can barely believe he is there in the house
when we are home. He is so quiet and simply loveable.
He is now insured and reported for the dog tax.
We thank you once more for the fast adoption
andd send you greetings from Solingen.
Rolf and Karin B.
(incidently - he gets along splendidly
with our Babuschka and she has fully accepted him).

Und wieder...
Hallo Frau Schmidling,
anbei einige Fotos vom „Foxi“.
