Hallo Frau Schmidling,

From the New Owner...

Hello Mrs. Schmidling

Our Krümel has settled in very well and does his "business" outside=).  Of course, sometimes he has an accident, but we are slowly solving the problem.

He is a real rowdy by us.  With strange people and strange dogs he becomes a little shy and observes the situation from a safe distance.  After a few minutes he will normally begin to play with other dogs.

Next week we will go to the animal clinic for his immunizations and we will begin obedience school.

Meanwhile, he is getting used to the weather and only gets cold when it has frozen during the night.  The weather doesn't interest him anymore.  He puts his little nose everywhere and he tries everything that he finds interesting.  Of course, he is not allowed to do that ;)

As promised, the pictures from the photographer are here, but since our scanner has been giving us problems the pictures seem to be a little "dusty" even though both the pictures and the scanner are clean.

So, that was another long E-Mail..=)

Till later, we wish you a nice day.

Dear greetings from Berlin,

Und wieder...

Hallo Frau Schmidling,

And again...

Hello Mrs. Schmidling,

In the meantime, the grown Krümel is doing very well.  He brings us much joy and keeps us on track.

He was sterilized around the first of July, but other than that has suffered just little "boo-boos" that have had to be taken care of.  For instance, he had a small fungus infestation.

He is just as lively as he was on the first day he came to us and has taken over the whole family's hearts.  Nobody wants to lose him.

While learning to lift his leg, Krümel had a few small problems.  At first he did not realize what this lifting ones leg was all about, then he did not understand that he was supposed to "go" on the tree instead of on himself or his master's shoes:-)

On the first try, he showed that he has no problems being home alone and did not get into any mischief.  Instead, he built himself a nest with a blanket and a couple of pillows and slept.

He also finds riding in a car real nice.-)...sometimes too nice.  It seems to make no difference who's car.  When he is out walking and somebody opens their car door he has to be watched very closely that he doesn't jump into a strange car.  It seems that he is not so interested in his "own" car.  Why? he has to ride in the back seat all alone.

He also defends his garden.  he regularly marks his territory and should another dog get too near HIS garden, he makes it very clear to the stranger who owns the garden.  Unfortunately, "grand-pa" planted over his favorite digging corner.  However, that is really no problem as Krümel has taken over the rest of the garden and digs up the moss.  it is very funny when "grand-pa" gets after Krümel.  However, Krümel is not the only one amused.

Otherwise, he is super loveable and gets along with all other dogs that come his way.  However, he has a tendency to hang back when he runs into a larger dog.  He has no problems whatsoever with other dogs his size or smaller regardless of sex.  it doesn't even bother him when another dogs starts to growl.  Krümel need time to determine whether or not the other dog means it.

He has also found some other animal friends that are not dogs.  for example rabbits and turtles, etc.. He finds interesting, everything that moves.

Sometimes at home, he has his "five minutes".  Most of the time he comes back to earth pretty fast, but sometimes he has to be reminded who the boss is:-)

Next week Krümel will travel again to Köln.  This was just a small report about our  little devil.  there are so many things that could be said about him that it would become a small book.

Attached are a few pictures.

Hopefully, we will hear from you again.

We wish you a nice day.
