Happy End - 2009...Lory

The Original Story...   Lory, along with her seven siblings, was born to a mixed Pointer female near the town of Hermigua.  Apparently, she was abandoned when she became pregnant.  Anyway, this little family was there and were fed by some local residents.  Meanwhile, the puppies are over five months old and were picked up and brought to animal loving people to be taken care of.  Because the puppies were brought up in the wild, they are still a little shy of humans, but they are curious and playful and want only to learn how people are.  Day to day they are becoming more trusting.   The mother stands between 50 and 55 cm and Lory will most likely be as tall...   Lory is in Germany and is searching for a loving new home.

Die Originalgeschichte...   Lory wurde mit ihrer sieben Geschwister in der Nähe von Hermigua von ihre Mutter (Pointermischling) geboren. Offensichtlich war sie trächtig ausgesetzt worden.  Plötzlich war diese kleine Familie da und wurde von Einheimischen versorgt. Inzwischen sind die Welpen über 5 Monate alt und wurden eingefangen und bei tierliebenden Menschen untergebracht. Da die Welpen in freier Wildbahn aufgewachsen sind, sind sie dem Menschen gegenüber noch scheu, aber sie sind auch neugierig und verspielt und möchten nun erkunden, wie die Menschen so sind. Von Tag zu Tag werden sie zutraulicher.   Die Mutter ist ca. 50 bis 55 cm hoch und auch Lory wird in etwa diese Höhe erreichen.   Lory ist in Deutschland und sucht nun ein liebevolles Zuhause....

Report from the Foster Home...   The little Lory (female) and her brother, Susto (male) are two cute and loving puppies.  They just recently arrived here in Germany and are still somewhat fearful and shy.  In the meantime, they have both settled in very well and have learned quite a bit.  If one goes directly towards them they will immediately back away, but once they are in ones arms they cuddle very well.  They love to lay on the sofa and will fall asleep in ones arms.  They simply just need a little time to get adjusted to people.  With a lot of time, quiet and patience they will both learn.  They get along well with other dogs and play with each other and others just like normal puppies.  Lory and Susto are about five months old, weigh approximately 8-9 kg, and will be medium sized when full grown.  We are looking for quiet homes for these pups, preferably with folks with experience.  They would do nicely as a second dog.   Children should be 12 years or older.

Report von der Pflegestelle...   Die kleine Lory (ein Mädchen) und ihr Bruder Susto (ein Rüde) sind 2 hübsche und liebe Welpen. Sie sind vor kurzem hier im Deutschland angekommen und waren sehr ängstlich und scheu. Zwischenzeitlich haben sie sich prima eingelebt und auch schon eine Menge dazugelernt. Geht man auf sie zu, weichen sie zwar immer noch zurück, aber hat man sie auf dem Arm, schmiegen sie sich gleich an einen. Auf dem Sofa liegen sie am liebsten und schlafen auch schon mal im Arm ein. Sie brauchen einfach noch ein bisschen Zeit, sich an Menschen zu gewöhnen. Doch mit viel Zeit, Ruhe und Geduld schaffen die beiden es bald. Mit anderen Hunden kommen sie bestens aus und toben und spielen mit ihnen wie jeder andere Welpe auch. Lory und Susto sind ca. 5 Monate alt, wiegen zur Zeit 8-9 kg und werden vermutl. mittelgroß. Für die Welpen suchen wir ein ruhiges Zuhause, möglichst mit Hundeerfahrung. Gerne auch als Zweithund. Kinder sollten schon älter (+12 J.) sein.
