The Original Story...

A couple of tourists were enjoying their trekking adventures in the Garajonay National Park on the island of La Gomera when they stumbled upon Lupita (female) and Flapy (male) near the town of Hermigua, cold hungry and all alone.  Both puppies were immediately placed in the tourists back packs and taken to the Guardia Civil (police) in town.  One of the Rangers who has helped Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) in the past took the puppies under foster care until other arrangements could be found.

They were born around the 15th of October and the local Vet has stated that they should not weigh over 6 Kg when they are fully grown.  They are typical puppies, playful, curious and loveable and looking forward to find a new, loving home.

PAG has asked us to place them in the net as their chances for adoption on the Island seem very slim at this moment.

From the New Owner...

Hello Mrs. Schmidling,

here are the first snap shots of our little tornado.....She has settled in well, still does her Pipi in the house, but only when we are not paying attention or not fast enough.  She really brings life into the house.  We wish you a Merry Christmas and a good slide into the year 2009.

Dear greetings,

Frau W.

Von der neuen Besitzerin...

Hallo Frau Schmidling!

Frau W.

From the New Owner...

Mika spent the whole evening laying and sleeping by me on the couch.  Totally sweet.  Then, he looked into a mirror and started to spit and growl and fight (the image).

I have now placed a collar on him.  He still has to get used to it.  He has also lain in his cat tree and his basket.  Now, he is walking around on my keyboard.  Totally sweet.  I have made a lot of pictures that I will set in the "wkw" tomorrow.

Dear greetings,

Natalie
