               Happy End - 2009...Mika             

The Original Story... Mika (male), Mandy (female) and Murphy (male) were rescued by tourists in an area of Valle Gran Rey called Los Granados.  The tourists had observed local residents chasing the mother cat away leaving the kittens (born around the 20rd of February) to fend for themselves.  The tourists took the kittens and reported the matter to the animal protection association, Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) and the kittens were placed into foster care on the Island.   Since there is still no animal shelter on the Island, the chances of finding a good home on La Gomera for any of these young animals are not good.  Therefore, they were medically checked out and prepared for their trip to Germany.  They arrived at their new foster home, here in Germany, on the 6th of May and are waiting to take over your heart.

Die Originalgeschichte...   Mika (männlich), Mandy (weiblich) und Murphy (männlich) wurden von Touristen in Los Granados, einem Teil von Valle Gran Rey, gerettet. Sie hatten beobachtet wie Einheimische die Mutterkatzen verjagten, die Ihre Welpen (geboren ca. 20. Februar) zurücklassen mußte. Da die Mama nicht zurückkam, haben die Touristen die Welpen an sich genommen und alles Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) gemeldet. Die Welpen kamen auf eine Pflegestelle.   Da es auf Gomera immer noch kein Tierheim gibt und die Chancen für eine Vermittlung von auch nur einem Welpen so gut wie NULL ist, wurden die kleinen vom Tierarzt reisefertig gemacht und sie sind am 6. Mai in ihrer Pflegestelle eingetroffen. Jetzt warten sie darauf, Ihr Herz zu erobern.

From the New Owner... Hello Tanja,   Mika spent the whole evening laying and sleeping by me on the couch.  Totally sweet.  Then, he looked into a mirror and started to spit and growl and fight (the image).   I have now placed a collar on him.  He still has to get used to it.  He has also lain in his cat tree and his basket.  Now, he is walking around on my keyboard.  Totally sweet.  I have made a lot of pictures that I will set in the "wkw" tomorrow.   Dear greetings,   Natalie

Von der neuen Besitzerin...   Hallo Tanja,   Mika hat den ganzen Abend mit mir auf der Couch gelegen und geschlafen. Total süß. Dann hat er sich im Spiegel gesehen und gefaucht und gekämpft.   Ich hab ihm jetzt mal das Halsband angelegt. Daran muss er sich erst mal gewohnen. Er hat auch schon im Katzenbaum und in seinem Körpchen gelegen. Und jetzt läuft er gerade auf der Tastatur rum. Total süß. Hab schon viele Bilder gemacht, die ich morgen ins wkw stelle.   lg Natalie

Then again...   Hello Tanja,   So, the little man has settled in wonderfully.  He is fresh and playful, but also totally attached to us.  He needs to cuddle at least three or four hours a day.   Mika has a giant sized cat tree with five levels and three boxes.  Otherwise, he lays in his basket, on the couch, on my pillow or, when he can, in the bathtub.  I am happy that he has settled in so well.  I would never give him up again.  We love him over everything and are now looking for a playmate for him.  At the moment he plays with my guinea pigs.  They all cuddle together.   Dear greetings,   Natalie, Tobias and Mika

Und wieder...   Hallo Tanja,   also der kleine Mann hat sich super gut bei uns eingelebt. Er ist frech und verspielt, aber auch total anhänglich. Er muss mindestens 3-4 Stunden am Tag mit uns schmusen.   Mika hat einen riesig großen Katzenbaum mit 5 Etagen und 3 Boxen daran. Ansonsten legt er sich in sein Körbchen, auf die Couch, auf mein Kopfkissen oder am liebsten in die Badewanne. Ich bin froh, dass er sich so gut eingelebt hat. Würde ihn auch nie mehr hergeben. Wir lieben ihn über alles und suchen jetzt noch eine kleine Spielkameradin. Weil im Moment spielt er mit meinem Meerschweinchen. Sie kuscheln auch alles zusammen.   LG Natalie, Tobias und Mika
