Happy End - 2009...Monfy

The Original Story...   In January Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) received a report of an abandoned dog in the area of Hermigua on La Gomera.  Turns out that the mother dog (Monfy), a Pointer mix, and her eight puppies were, at first, impossible to catch.  Over time, all eight puppies were finally picked up and sent to foster care.  Three of the puppies, Lory, Timy and Susto, were brought to Germany and have found new homes.   Monfy was so shy and anxious that she avoided being captured until the first week of May.  It turns out that during the transport to her foster home on the Island she started to seek human contact.  She is now almost over her ordeal and loves to be petted.   Monfy is approximately two years old, stands about 50 to 55 cm and will soon be spayed.  She is now healthy and being prepared for her long trip to Germany where it is hoped that she will find a new, loving home.  One where she doesn’t to ever worry again about being abandoned.   The pictures above show Monfy on a chain with a wire collar.  We assure you all that that was strictly temporary and used only because the person who caught her did not have a regular collar and leash.  She now has a real collar and she is no longer on a chain.   A new home for Monfy??

Die Originalgeschichte...   Im Januar erhielt Pro Animal Gomera (PAG) einen Anruf , dass in der Gegend von Hermigua ein Hund ausgesetzt wurde. Es stellte sich heraus, dass es eine Hündin war (wir haben ihr den Namen Monfy gegeben und es ist eine Pointer-Mix-Hündin) und sie hatte inzwischen Welpen geboren. Es war unmöglich die Mutter und ihre acht!! Welpen zu fangen. So nach und nach konnten die Welpen dann doch eingefangen werden und wurden auf eine Pflegestelle gegeben. Drei der Welpen Susto, Timy und Lory, wurden nach Deutschland gebracht und sind inzwischen vermittelt.   Monfy war sehr scheu und widersetzte sich jedem Versuch, sie einzufangen. Anfang Mai ließ sie sich doch von einem jungen Mädchen, die sie immer gefüttert hatte, einfangen und an die Kette legen. Wie es der Zufall will, gerade am nächsten Tag war PAG wieder vor Ort um nach der Hündin zu sehen und die Überraschung war groß.....   Es war ein bißchen schwierig, sie in die Pflegestelle zu bekommen, aber letzten Endes hat alles geklappt und ............ Überraschung!!!.... es schien, dass Monfy glücklich war, dass sie wieder menschliche Zuwendung bekam. Sie war so dankbar für jede Zuwendung.   Sie ist ca. 2 Jahre jung, ca. 50 bis 55 cm hoch, gesund und ist kastriert. Sie ist in Deuschland auf einer Pflegestelle und wartet darauf, dass sie in ein neues Zuhause umziehen kann, wo sie geliebt und auch nicht mehr ausgesetzt wird.   Die Bilder zeigen Monfy in der Scheune an der Kette. So wie wir sie vorgefunden haben. Mit Draht um den Hals (kein Halsband vorhanden) und an der Kette. Selbstverständlich ist das nun vorbei!   Wer entdeckt sein Herz für sie?
