               Happy End - 2009...Noelia             

The Original Story...   Noelia, a sad Christmas story and hopefully, a Happy End. She was found and picked up in the National Park on Christmas, near the Laguna Grande restaurant.  It was very clear that she had been abandoned there since there are no animals (dogs and cats) allowed in the Garajonay National Park.   It is known very quickly when a "Wanderer" shows up and then PAG is called into the picture. Noelia is about eight or nine months old, still shy, nervous, and mistrustful.  She is now in good hands and will quickly learn that humans can be veeerrryyy loving.  Noelia is somewhat skinny and small (about 30 cm.)

Die Originalgeschichte...   Noelia, eine traurige Weihnachtsgeschichte und hoffentlich ein Happy End. Sie wurde Weihnachten in Nationalpark in der Nähe vom Restaurant Laguna Grande aufgegriffen. Sie war ganz offensichtlich dort oben ausgesetzt worden, denn im Garajonay Nationalpark sind keine Tiere (Hunde und Katzen) erlaubt. Es fällt schnell auf, wenn dort ein "Streuner" auftaucht und PAG wird gleich gerufen. Noelia ist ca. 8 bis 9 Monate alt, noch ängstlich, verschüchtert und misstrauisch. Sie ist jetzt in guten Händen und wird schnell lernen, dass Menschen auch gaaaanz lieb sein können. Noelia ist eher klein, vielleicht ca. 30 cm hoch und abgemagert.

Descripción original...   Noelia, una historia navideña triste y  como esperamos con final feliz. La encontraron en Navidad en el parque Nacional cerca del restaurante La Laguna. La abandonaron  allí con propósito, porque en el parque no se permite animales, ni gatos ni perros. Se ve en seguida si aparece un animal y se llama PAG. Noelia tiene ahora 8 – 9 meses, todavía esta miedosa, tímida y desconfiada. Pero es en manos buenas y aprenderá rápida, que los humanos pueden ser muy cariñosos. Noelia es pequeña, mas o menos 30 cm de altura y muy delgada.

 

 

                             

 

                             

 

 

From the New Owner...   Hello, Mrs. Schmidling,   I hope that this mail gets through since I have problems with the size of the pictures.   I would like to heartily thank Dominique again for her support in all areas that made it possible for me to take Noelia with me back to Germany.  I would also like to thank Regina who stood by us and helped us through the formalities at the Tenerife Airport.  Thank you for the time.  It made it somewhat more easy for us to make the trip back home with two dogs and baggage.   Noelia withstood the trip quite well and we were very happy to find that there were no Pee trails left at the Hamburg Airport.    We have now been home for five weeks and she has found many dog friends during our walks and is an absolute tornado.  She has adjusted to the difference in weather very well, except for the rain of which she is totally afraid.  She would rather lay in front of the fire place and enjoy the warmth.   She has submitted herself to dog school and practices really well.  Playing and going without a line is, natturally much better and will be practiced every day when possible and it gives us a lot of fun.   Everything is well and Noelia is a real pleasure.  I am very happy every day during our "Dog" time.   Heartfelt greetings,   Sabine + Noelia

Von der neuen Besitzerin...   Hallo Frau Schmidling,   ich hoffe, dass die mail ankommt, denn ich habe immer Probleme mit der Größe der Bilder??   Ich bedanke mich noch mal rechtherzlich bei Dominique, für die Unterstützung in allen Bereichen, mir zu ermöglichen, Noelia mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen und  auch bei Regina, die uns hilfreich zur Seite stand, alle Formalitäten am Flughafen zu erledigen. Danke für die Zeit!!! Somit war es uns möglich, einigermaßen entspannt den Heimweg anzutreten mit 2 Hunden und Gepäck.   Noelia hat die Reise gut überstanden, es gab dann in Hamburg auf dem Flugplatz einen keinen PI Bach, danach war die Freude groß!   Nun sind wir 5 Wochen Zuhause und sie hat viele Hundefreunde auf den täglichen Spaziergängen gefunden und ist der absolute Wirbelwind. Sie hat sich mit den klimatischen Verhältnissen recht gut arrangiert, bis auf den Regen, der ist total beängstigend! Da liegt sie doch lieber vor dem Ofen und genießt die Wärme.   In der Hundeschule wird Unterordnung und das Benehmen in der Stadt geübt und das macht sie ganz prima!! Spielen und frei herum laufen ist natürlich viel besser und wird jeden Tag, so oft es möglich ist, praktiziert und es macht uns  sehr viel Spaß.   Alles ist gut und Noelia ist die reine Freude. Ich freue mich jeden Tag auf unsere "Hunde"  Zeit!   Wir  grüßen ganz herzlich   Sabine+ Noelia

From the New Owner...   Hola Sra. Schmidling,   Espero que llega el mail, siempre tengo problemas con el tamaño de las fotos.   Quisiera agradecer a Dominique, para su ayuda en todos los sentidos de facilitarme de llevar Noelia a Alemania, y también a Regina, que nos ayudó con  las formalidades en Tenerife Aeropuerto.  Gracias por todo el tiempo!!! Así fue posible de llevar los dos perros juntos con en el equipaje.   Noelia lo ha pasado bien, en Hamburgo en el AP un pequeño pis, y después la gran alegría de vernos. Ahora estamos 5 semanas en casa y ella ha encontrado muchos amigos (perros) en sus caminatas y es la tormenta absoluta. Se adaptó bien con los cambios climáticos, solamente la lluvia la deja asustada. Ella prefiere el calor de la estufa.   En el colegio de perros aprende  sumisión y la conducta en la ciudad, y lo hace muy bien.  Jugar y correr libremente todavía esta mucho mejor, lo hace todos los días y nos alegra todos. Todo va bien y Noelia es la pura alegría.  Todos los días espero con alegría nuestro “ tiempo de perro”.   Les saludamos cariñosamente,   Sabina y Noelia.

Then again...   Hello Mrs. Schmidling,   You wanted some current pictures of Noelia and here they are:  Noelia with her playmates Balu and Jenna.   It has been eight months since Noelia came to us and she has developed into a brave lady dog.  In October we will attend a Play and Fun course and I am very curious as to how well she will react to the course or if she likes the fields better where she can hunt for mice.   Everything here has settled in a natural way such the Noelia is able to lead a relatively free dog's life and we are waiting for the second heat period.  We shall see what comes...   Dear greetings from Rotenburg,   Sabine R.

Und wieder...   Hallo Frau Schmidling,   sie wollen aktuelle Fotos von Noelia, hier sind sie: Noelia mit ihrem Spielfreund Balu und Freundin Jenna.   Nun sind es 8 Monate, seit Noelia bei uns ist und sie hat sich zur mutigen Hundedame entwickelt. Im Oktober belegen wir einen Spiel und Spaß Kurs und ich bin sehr gespannt, ob sie daran Gefallen findet, oder ob wir doch wieder Wiesen aufsuchen, auf denen sie nach Belieben Mäuse aufspüren wird.   Alles hat sich auf natürliche Weise reguliert und eingestellt, so dass Noelia hier ein relativ freies Hundeleben führt und wir uns auf die zweite Läufigkeit vorbereiten.
