Happy End - 2009...Rocky (Roque)

The Original Story...   Here we go again...Roque is one of two dogs found in the vicinity of a well known panoramic mountain called "Rogue Agando", just outside the Garajonay National Park.  Once again, La Gomera offers it's visitors two different aspects of reality.  On one side there is it's charm and beauty and on the other side, two very skinny, dirty and abandoned dogs.  Fortunately, a young lady found and rescued the two, possibly saving them from being hit by a car.  Roque, pictured here, is a mixed male, looks somewhat like a "Lowchen", approximately three years old and weighs 10 kilograms.  Like all dogs found under these circumstances, he is very grateful and loves to be petted.  He likes children and shows no aggression towards other dogs.  He is a little shy and seems to rely on the other dog who was rescued with him for friendship and security. So again, because there is no Animal Shelter on the Island, Pro Animal Gomera has asked us to try to find them both new homes in Germany.  As can be seen by the grin on Roque's face, he is ready to win over your heart.  He is now in a foster home, along with his buddy, Agando, here in Germany near Karlsruhe.   When he arrived here he had been medically checked,de-wormed, de-fleaed, immunized, has an EU Passport and an implanted Microchip.  Sure hope one of you nice people takes a liking to him.

Die Originalgeschichte...   Wieder mal……. Roque ist einer von zwei Hunden, die am malerischen Panorama Roque Agando in den Bergen ausgesetzt wurden. Dicht am Nationalpark Garajonay. Wieder einmal sehen Besucher von La Gomera die beiden Gesichter der Insel. Auf der einen Seite die Schönheit und auf der anderen Seite zwei magere, dreckige und ausgesetzte Hunde. Glücklichweise wurden beide von einer jungen Frau gefunden und sie nahm die beiden in Ihre Obhut, damit sie nicht noch von einem Auto angefahren werden konnten.   Roque hier, ist ein Mischling und sieht einem Löwchen sehr ähnlich. Er ist ca. drei Jahre alt und wiegt gerade mal 10 kg. Wie alle Hunde, die ausgesetzt und gefunden wurden, ist er sehr dankbar und liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden.  Er ist noch etwas scheu und hängt sehr an Agando, der mit ihm ausgesetzt worden war. Er mag Kinder und zeigt keine Aggressivität gegenüber anderen Hunden.   Wieder einmal…..es gibt kein Tierheim auf der Insel, und so bittet Pro Animal Gomera uns um Hilfe, damit wir für ihn in Deutschland ein neues Zuhause suchen.   Er war beim Tierarzt, ist entwurmt, entfloht, gebadet, geimpft, hat einen Mikrochip und den neuen EU-Heimtierausweis.   Roque ist inzwischen gemeinsam mit seinem Kumpel Agando auf einer Pflegestelle in der Nähe von Karlsruhe.

From the New Owner   Hello... Here is Rocky (Roque).  I am getting along veeeeeeerrrry well.  I feel very comfortable and in the meantime, the cat has become my best friend.  Walking in the snow has become my new Hobby.  Unfortunately, it has not snowed anymore... It is just cold.  However, that does not stop me from going for walks.    I have also gained some weight because the meals here are very good.  Sometime, I will visit my ex-foster mother just as soon as the family is ready.   I don't like fireworks much, but I have a lot of folks around that pet me.   So now, I wish you a good slide into the year 2009.   Paw,   Rocky

Von der neuen Besitzerin...   Hallo hier ist der Rocky, mir geht es seeeeeeeeeeeehr gut. Ich fühle mich pudelwohl und die Katze ist inzwischen meine beste Freundin geworden! Gassie im Schnee ist mein neues Hobby. Leider hat es ja nicht mehr geschneit... es ist nur kalt. Aber das hindert mich nicht am Gassie gehen.   Zugenommen habe ich natürlich auch schon, weil die Verpflegung ist sehr gut. Irgendwann komme ich mein Exfrauchen mal besuchen, sobald es meine Familie auf die Reihe kriegt.   Die Knaller find ich nicht so prickelnd, aber ich habe ja ganz viele um mich herum ,die mich streicheln.   So jetzt wünsche ich einen guten Rutsch ins Jahr 2009.   Pfote, Rocky
